  • Department Library

In a large space, the Department Library houses 350 volumes with more than 60 titles. The books explore all aspects of mechanical engineering, as well as new technologies.

  • CNC Laboratory

Modern CNC machines are used in this lab. This lab will assist in the comprehension of numerical computing techniques and programmed control units. To manufacture any highly automated component that closely resembles the CAD model.

  • CAD/CAM Laboratory

In this computerised age, the CAD CAM lab provides a forum with all of the requisite resources for students to gain exposure to various software and programming techniques used in mechanical engineering. It also equips them with skills in computer-assisted design, simulation, modelling, and computerised system operation.

  • Metrology and Measurements Laboratory

Students will learn about calibration and how to use various measurement instruments in this lab. At the end of this lab, students will have a thorough understanding of the complexities that come with every calculation.

  • Fluid Mechanics Laboratory

Students will learn about the design and operation of miniature versions of different machines that use water power, such as hydraulic turbines and pumps, in the fluid mechanics lab.The student develops a basic understanding of regulating fluid flow and the properties of a fluid in motion by performing these experiments and learning. To put it another way, students become proficient in fluid mechanics.

  • Thermal Engineering Laboratory

Heat, which is an excellent working material, is often dealt with by mechanical engineers. As a result, the programme includes a thermal lab. This lab teaches students the fundamentals of heat transfer. It provides students with hands-on experience with a variety of heat flow control and measurement instruments.

  • Engineering Practices Laboratory

Every student who are interestedin Engineering education must be aware of all types of engineering works with proper standard procedure. This Laboratory providespractical exposure to the first year students with hands on experience on various basic engineering practices in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

  • Manufacturing Technology Laboratory

This lab is intended for students to learn and practice numerous machining operations that can be performed in lathe, shaping, drilling, milling etc. and equip students with the practical knowledge required in the manufacturing/production companies. It alsofacilitates students to learn and practice the basic machining operations in the special purpose machines and acquire its applicability in the real time components manufacturing industries.

  • Kinematics and Dynamics Laboratory

The study of dynamics is an important aspectfor every MechanicalEngineering students. This lab is intended to experience students the feel of dynamics by doing experiments, designs, etc. It also helps the students to learn the behaviours of various machines, equipments and structures in real system due to the kinematic and dynamic forces acting on a body.

  • Mechatronics Laboratory

The Mechatronics Lab provides state of the art facilities and experimental setups to learn and enjoy the field of mechatronics.Modern society depends on mechatronic-based systems for modern conveniences. From intelligent appliances to safety features in cars such as air bags, and antilock brakes, mechatronic systems are widely used in every day life.Today, it’s generally defined as study concerned with the design, selection, analysis, and control of systems that combine mechanical elements with electronics components, including computers and or/microcontrollers.

  • Strength of Materials laboratory

Mechanical properties such as tensile, compressive, impact, shear, strengths, Hardness, etc., are the essential properties while designing a component for a particular application. Mechanical engineers should know how to measure and analyze the above properties of components by using diverse testing instruments. This lab enhances the theoretical knowledge with practical testing for determining the strength of materials under externally applied load and enables the student to have a clear understanding of the design for strength and stiffness
