For Admission to First Year B.E.
A Pass in the HSc academic or its equivalent or in the vocational stream with engineering / Technology vocational subjects or any one or two related subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or any other equivalent qualification approved by the State Board of Technical Education and Training / Higher Secondary Board of Tamil Nadu / Universities in Tamil Nadu as given below:

HSC (Vocational)
A pass in any one of the HSC (Vocational subject) with any one of the Engineering related subjects namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with a minimum average percentage put together as given below:

Lateral Entry Admissions
Diploma Candidates – A pass with prescribed minimum eligibility marks in any one of the Diploma in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu / equivalent prescribed for admission to the Degree Course.
B.Sc. Candidates – A pass with prescribed minimum eligibility marks in any recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Science of minimum 3 years duration with 10+2+3 years pattern and studied core Mathematics as one of the subjects at degree level.
Note: Candidates with Degree other than Bachelor of Science are not eligible.
MBA | MCA | ME Admission
Eligibility:
The eligibility criteria for MBA: Any graduation of three years duration or more that is recognized by Anna University, Chennai.
The eligibility criteria for MCA: Any graduation of three years duration with maths in +2 level. BCA, B.Sc.(IT/CSE) eligible for direct second year admission.
The eligibility criteria for ME: BE / B.Tech / MCA recognized by Anna University, Chennai.
Government Quota:
Admissions to the Government Quota are handled by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. Candidates seeking admission under the Government Quota must have written the TANCET exam (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Anna University. The single-window counseling normally takes place in the months of July / August every year at the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore.
Management Quota:
Candidates seeking MBA | MCA | ME admissions under the Management Quota must have written one of the entrance tests – CAT, XAT, ATMA, MAT, or TANCET. The selection process is based on the scores in the entrance test as well as past academic records and performance at the Group Discussion and Personal Interview organized by the Institution.
